Santa Barbara
Mitchell is a bigger guard who is very good off the dribble and can score on all three levels. Although he isn’t the quickest and most athletic he understands how to get to his spots on the floor and score the basketball. Being a left-handed player makes him tough to guard and we think his game is similar to a smaller version of Jalen Rose with his ability to possibly play the point guard position with not as much athleticism. He had averages of 20 pts, 4 rbs, 4 ast, and shot 50.4% from the field. His assist average didn’t reflect it but his ability to get to his ability to take angles to get in the lane is what makes him an intriguing Draft prospect.
San Francisco
Mogbo is a forward that can grab the rebound and help start your fastbreak. He is a guy who impacts the game in multiple different ways and doesn’t need to score to impact the game. He was top three in dunks this past season while averaging a double with 14.2 pts, 10.1 rebs, 3.6 ast while shooting 63.6% from the field. What makes him so intriguing as a prospect is his versatility to play multiple positions, basketball IQ, and efficiency with the game. Like other past draft prospects, Mogbo was a smaller guard who hit a growth spurt later on in high school. His potential to us is still untapped and the comparison we have is somebody the likes of Scottie Barnes who is his workout partner and a close friend of his.
Baylor University
Bridges is a bigger wing that is somebody that can do a little bit of everything. At his height, he can guard multiple positions on the floor with great ease and we also feel like he can be that glue guy that keeps everything together for a team. While playing for Baylor University this season his stats didn’t just jump out at you averaging 12.2 pts, 5.7 rbs, 1.4 ast, and 46.6% shooting from the field. While we had a chance to see him play in person a few times what stood out to us was the little things he did to help a team win such as getting his hands on loose balls, making defensive stops in the clutch, and stretching the defense by knocking down threes when needed. We think that he compares to the likes of Jaden McDaniels from the Minnesota Timberwolves with his ability to do the little things to impact the game.
Indiana
Ware is a guy who can catch the ball on the perimeter and get to the whole in one or two dribbles. If given the ball in the high post or at the top of the key he can make a great decision with a pass to an open teammate regardless of it being a cutter or a high-low action with a teammate ceiling his man. When the ball goes up he attacks the offensive glass and has no problem getting put back. His averages of 15.9 pts, 9.9 rebs, 1.5 ast, and shooting 58.6% reminds me of a bunch of Anthony Davis in how we were used at Kentucky as a screener that is the first option on lobs and has a few post moves to be able to score with.
Kentucky
Edwards is a bigger guard the upside is high. Although his numbers don’t scream at you with averages of 8.8 pts, 3.4 rbs, 0.9 ast, shooting 48.6% from the field. He is a guy that will have a better NBA career than college and Kentucky has had a history of having guys that you can see the potential but it doesn’t get maximized until they get into an NBA system. He is a lefty who is pretty good off the catch-and-shoot, has a nice two-dribble pull-up, and can get to the rim. His ability to catch and shoot is what will allow him to have a successful career. The player that we would compare him the most to is a bigger version of Michael Redd.
